Does it really matter if we refer to an unborn developing human as a fetus, or as a baby? By referring to him/her as a fetus, prochoice has successfully ‘de-humanized’ the unborn developing human, but only to themselves. They already know he/she is human. They already know that if they allow him/her to breathe air, they too will refer to him/her as a baby.

Is ‘baby’ a term of endearment?

Webster’s #1 definition of baby is ‘an extremely young child’. Prochoice believes he/she is not a baby until he/she takes a first breath. Prolife goes beyond that. We believe babies deserve to be protected from the moment of conception.

You see, it’s still the same unborn developing human, no matter which term you use to describe him/her.
